Covid-19: “All hypotheses remain on table,” says WHO report into virus origins

The origins of SARS-CoV-2 remain unsolved, concludes the full report from the World Health Organization’s Scientific Advisory Group for the Origins of Novel Pathogens (SAGO).1

Despite more than three years of investigation, the 27 member expert panel said that several hypotheses remain viable, because of missing data—particularly from China.2

“As things stand, all hypotheses must remain on the table, including zoonotic spillover and lab leak,” said WHO’s director general, Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus. “We continue to appeal to China and any other country that has information about the origins of covid-19 to share that information openly, in the interests of protecting the world from future pandemics.”

The report, released on 27 June, cited a “weight of available evidence” supporting the theory that SARS-CoV-2 was likely to have emerged through zoonotic transmission, either directly from bats or through an intermediate host. SAGO said that this conclusion was based on limited and incomplete data. Requests made by WHO to the Chinese government—including access to genetic sequences from early cases, detailed records of animals sold at Wuhan markets, and biosafety documentation from laboratories in the region—have gone unanswered.

Well, that’s the official answer, no one knows “NOTHING.” How convenient. The concern facing the American Security Coalition is the possibility that the pandemic was a weaponized event - the ultimate form of bioterrorism. And they can be used to control and destroy our nation. We need facts.
